My, What A Big Hole You're Digging For Yourself Senator Dayton

Senator Mark 'Beam Me Up' Dayton announced Tuesday that he will vote against President Bush's nominee for Attorney General, Alberto Gonazles. Today, Rob Hotakainen, Star Tribune Washington Bureau Correspondent, writes in an article entitled Dayton will vote against Gonzales:

Gonzales is expected to win confirmation Thursday. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, R-Tenn., said he wanted to schedule a vote Tuesday but decided not to do so after Democrats threatened to filibuster. Democrats said they wouldn't delay the nomination but asked for additional time to debate Gonzales' record, forcing a delay in until after Bush delivers his State of the Union speech tonight.

In his remarks, which were given sans his tin-foil chapeau, Senator Dayton tried to show concern for our troops killed and wounded in action while decrying efforts to extract intelligence from terrorists that could prevent further American casualties. Pick a side Senator Dayton...
