Big, fat, lesbian, loud Rosie

"Big fat, lesbian, loud Rosie" (O'Donnell), as she described herself, used a contributor to her blog by the name of Shelly to quote herself from a recent exchange with Elisabeth Hasselbeck, one of her co-hosts on The View:

O’DONNELL: …… I just want to say something. 655,000 Iraqi civilians are dead. Who are the terrorists?
HASSELBECK: Who are the terrorists?
O’DONNELL: 655,000 Iraqis — I’m saying you have to look, we invaded –
HASSELBECK: Wait, who are you calling terrorists now? Americans?
O’DONNELL: I’m saying if you were in Iraq, and the other country, the United States, the richest in the world, invaded your country and killed 655,000 of your citizens, what would you call us?
HASSELBECK: Are we killing their citizens or are their people also killing their citizens?
O’DONNELL: We’re invading a sovereign nation, occupying a country against the U.N.

Shelly went on to complain that that famous liberal hater Chris Matthews, who as everyone knows has a right-wing show called Hardball on the fascist MSNBC cable channel, had a panel of journalists (all known homophobes and right-wing conspirators) that included Howard Feinman, Jill Zuckman, and Jonathan Capehart that had the audacity to unanimously agree "with Matthews that she (Rosie) did call our troops terrorists. That conforms with the majority of journalists who have reported on this comment."

Forgetting ten years of American soldiers protecting the Kurds in Northern Iraq and brave American pilots patrolling the no-fly zone after Iraq was expelled from Kuwait in 1991; forgetting seventeen, that's right 17, United Nations resolutions condemning Iraqi behavior in the years after Desert Storm, Shelly blamed everyone in the elite media like the Hardball panel "who aided and abetted the rush to war in Iraq and fostered the terrorist policy that has resulted in this catastrophe."

Rosie's comment to Shelly's post: "THANK GOD 4 SHELLY"

WOW! That is quite an amazing alternate reality that Shelly and Rosie live in.

Note: I believe the site that Ms. O'Donnell is using to back up her claim of 655,000 deaths in Iraq is here. There are at least four other groups with estimates no higher than approximately 23% of Ms. O'Donnell's claim. All five estimates can be found at a table provided by NPR here.
