Get To The Root Cause Before The Bailout

I am not opposed to doing something to fix the financial crisis, although the Newt Gingrich proposal seems to be more rational than just throwing $700 billion dollars at the problem. You can read what Newt had to say about the 'bailout' in an interview with Greta Van Susteren here

It seems that any 'bail-out' of the banking crisis should include basic revisions to the mortgage guidelines that brought on this crisis. None of the proposals I have seen get to the root cause of the problem and if the root cause is not addressed we will revisit this problem in a few short years. Although it will keep the demand for new and resale homes lower than perhaps most would like, revisions to the mortgage guidelines should include:

1. There should be no more adjustable rate mortgages for people who do not have the obvious means to pay for the mortgage if/when it increases.

2. People should not be approved at the 'teaser' interest rate of an adjustable rate mortgage.

3. There should be no more 'no money down' deals. Everyone should have to put at least 5% down.

4. There should be no mortgages given to those who have poor or marginal credit.

Everyone should keep in mind it is not a 'right' to own a home, and it is not the end of the world to rent, rather than purchase, a home.

McCain As Commander-In-Chief

Reflecting upon all the newspaper articles and television programs chronicling the events of September 11, 2001, and all the fine speeches given this year, especially the speech given by would-be president John McCain honoring the passengers of United Airlines Flight 93, that crashed into a field near Shanksville in Stonycreek Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, I was reminded that unlike the passengers of Flight 93, supposed tough-guy, war hero John McCain is, and would be as president, unwilling to do whatever is necessary to stop attacks like those that killed thousands of Americans on 9/11/2001.

The unfortunate truth is that if John McCain were president prior to 9/11/2001, and we had actually captured one of the conspirators prior to the tragic events of that day, nothing would have changed. McCain, the great American warrior, would let 3,000, 30,000, or even 300,000 Americans die rather that extract information using motivational interrogation (waterboarding) that could change the course of events. I want a president who will protect America and American lives.

President John McCain would let you and your children die...

Lipstick And Pigs

Barack Hussein Obama is the very last person who should be making jokes about lipstick and pigs.

God, Country, Marxists And/Or Muslims

MSNBC's host Keith Olbermann and newly anointed host, lefty Rachel Maddow, spent an entire segment on Keith's show today making fun of Sarah Palin's religious beliefs. Of course, nothing was said of their beloved Barack Hussein Obama's wacko racist, anti-American church, Trinity United Church Of Christ, that the Obama's spent the better part of 20 years attending and, of course, there is Trinity's infamous hateful, racist, anti-American pastor, the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Jr., who was Obama's spiritual advisor all those years. The Rev is a huge proponent of Black liberation theology.

Anthony B. Bradley, a research fellow at the Acton Institute for the study of religion and liberty, and assistant professor of apologetics and systematic theology at Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, wrote on April 2, 2008, in part:

One of the pillars of Obama's home church, Trinity United Church of Christ, is "economic parity." On the website, Trinity claims that God is not pleased with "America's economic mal-distribution." Among all of controversial comments by Jeremiah Wright, the idea of massive wealth redistribution is the most alarming. The code language "economic parity" and references to "mal-distribution" is nothing more than channeling the twisted economic views of Karl Marx. Black Liberation theologians have explicitly stated a preference for Marxism as an ethical framework for the black church because Marxist thought is predicated on a system of oppressor class (whites) versus victim class (blacks).

Bradley's entire article can be read here.

Of course, economic redistribution (AKA class warfare, socialism, communism) is the center-piece of Obama's economic plan to restore America to greatness. Haven't they tried class warfare, and/or socialism, and/or communism in one form or another in Russia, China, Cuba, and North Korea for the better part of the past century? Shining examples of economic growth and prosperity all...can you say bread line?

The battle of religions may be a battle that is not in B. Hussein Obama's best interest to fight.

On another note: Was it just a slip of the tongue or was it what the chosen one, Barack Hussein Obama, really holds dear when he mentioned 'his Muslim faith' on George Stephanopoulos' ABC show, "this week," this past Sunday?

Whether Obama is a member of a racist, anti-American church or a closet Muslim, do we really want him as our president and his angry wife as first lady?

Deterioration Of Social Mores In America

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin seems to be a fine candidate for vice-president.

However, the fact that she is going to parade her unwed, pregnant daughter, Bristol, and the kid who impregnated her before the Republican convention is really tacky. There is no shame in America anymore, and that is a shame.

It is fine to stick by your daughter if she makes a mistake but don't rub our noses in it. Bristol and her impregnator should stay home and read a book on birth control and/or parenting.

Michelle Obama's Senior Thesis

Michelle LaVaughn Robinson, now Mrs. Michelle Obama, wrote her senior thesis, entitled "Princeton-Educated Blacks and the Black Community," in 1985 on what it was like being a black student at the prestigious, predominately white Ivy League university. Mrs. Obama was angry then, and is still angry 23 years later.

Politico.com has an overview of her thesis here.

You can read her thesis, which is published in four parts at politico.com as follows: part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4.

Are you sure you want her running around the White House with that big ol' chip on her shoulder?
