Midway Through The Election Results

It appears that the Republicans are headed toward a victory in the House Of Representatives, picking up about 60 seats. There have not been a lot of surprises in the House races up to this point. Of note, many people are particularly pleased that big mouthed Alan Grayson (D-FL) has been soundly defeated and will not be returning to Washington in any official capacity after the lame-duck sessions.

With a loss in Connecticut, where congenital liar, Richard Blumenthal (D), has defeated businesswoman Linda McMahon, it appears that the Senate will continue to have a Democratic majority, albeit a very slim majority, and the Republicans will have to wait until the 2012 election to regain a majority there.

I am anxiously awaiting the results of the Senate race here in Nevada where polls had Sharron Angle leading Senate majority leader Harry Reid by about 3% prior to the election.
