McCain On Enhanced Interrogation...Again
Senator John McCain (RINO-AZ) went to the senate floor today to protest that, despite the proclamations of various officials from our intelligence community that information we received from the enhanced interrogation of terrorists led to the killing of Obama bin Laden, enhanced interrogation does not work.
The question is, Why did he make that speech?
I am not sure whether this is just McCain trying to make sure that President Bush doesn't get any of the credit for the demise of bin Laden because of his hatred of the former President, or is he trying to somehow revise his own personal history while he was a guest of the North Vietnamese during the Vietnam war.
My best guess is both of the above.
Romney On RomneyCare
Today Mitt Romney gave a speech at the University of Michigan that was supposed to put the controversy on the medical plan he approved while he was the governor of Massachusetts to rest.
In the speech, he described his plan as "a state solution to a state problem," while describing ObamaCare as "a power grab by the federal government."
He should have described his plan as 'a failed solution to a state problem,' but more importantly he should know that a power grab by a state government (or a federal government) is a power grab no matter how much powdered sugar you pour on it.
Romney's unwillingness to distance himself from any form of mandated health care is sure to doom his presidential aspirations.

I Said It First Ann...
At 1:08:46 PM Pacific Daylight Time today, in an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, I wrote:
While Obama doesn't want to "spike the ball" by releasing bin Laden's photo, he has no compunction about taking a political 'victory lap' at 'ground zero' tomorrow.
I point this out only because Ann Coulter while on Sean Hannity's show this evening, which airs at 6 PM Pacific Daylight Time, reiterated my point. I just don't want anyone to say I stole her talking point.
