Who Is John McCain Representing?

The Associated Press is reporting that Senator John McCain (RINO-AZ) said that he would not be supporting the latest attempt by the GOP to get rid of some of the most onerous parts of Obamacare.

"I cannot in good conscience vote for the Graham-Cassidy proposal," McCain said in a statement, referring to the bill by Sens. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Bill Cassidy of Louisiana.

"I believe we could do better working together, Republicans and Democrats, and have not yet really tried," he said. "Nor could I support it without knowing how much it will cost, how it will affect insurance premiums, and how many people will be helped or hurt by it."

The latest iteration of the Republican's attempt to amend (not replace) Obamacare would get rid of the individual and employer mandates and would allow the states to administer what would be left of Obamacare on a state by state basis.

Senator McCain, who is ill and has no problem with his highly subsidized health care insurance, seems to be clueless when it comes to his Arizona constituents, who number in the hundreds of thousands according to the junior senator from Arizona, Jeff Flake, without health insurance or who cannot afford to use their insurance because of the extraordinarily high deductibles piled on top of the outrageous monthly premiums.
