Trump Is Unhappy With Fox News - Fox News Is Unhappy With Trump

Fox News just doesn't seem to be able to control itself when it comes to Donald Trump putting out a nasty little tongue-in-cheek message over the weekend essentially asking for a war between them and Trump.

“We learned from a secret back channel that the Ayatollah and Putin both intend to treat Donald Trump unfairly when they meet with him if he becomes president — a nefarious source tells us that Trump has his own secret plan to replace the Cabinet with his Twitter followers to see if he should even go to those meetings.”

Trump, deciding he had enough of Fox News, announced he would skip the debate today and arranged to do a fund-raiser for wounded veterans at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, tonight at 9 P.M.

Without Trump, the viewership of the debate tonight is likely to drop by millions of viewers and Fox News has been apoplectic since Trump's announcement, with virtually every host bemoaning Trump's decision. Even the 'great' Bill O'Reilly was pleading with, and cajoling Trump for two segments on his show, The Factor, last night in an effort to bring Trump back to the debate. At one point, he, O'Reilly, even reminded Trump that he had brought Trump numerous vanilla milkshakes in the past.

O'Reilly also suggested that Trump ought to forgive Meghan Kelly, who, along with the other moderators in the first debate hosted by Fox News, tried to embarrass Trump from the outset. Unfortunately, Kelly won't admit that they were trying to embarrass Trump and customarily one only offers forgiveness when someone has asked to be forgiven.

It should be noted that I am leaning towards Ted Cruz for President, although I would vote for Trump if he gets the nomination. I am also an avid Fox News viewer and generally a big fan, but I wrote about the treatment Trump got after the first debate.

It will be interesting to see just how many viewers stay away tonight. If Fox News loses a huge chunk of their ratings for this debate, they will have no one to blame but themselves.
