What A Beautiful Day!

Our friends from Canada arrived today and, as usual, they brought some of their weather with them. This is our backyard about 10 A.M., January 7, 2005. Snow at this elevation in the desert is quite an unusual sight. I have lived in Las Vegas since 1973 and have seen it snow only 5 or 6 times, and only once has it snowed more than this. In the top picture you see Maggie watching it snow poolside, while Cassie decides if it is too cold for her delicate paws.
