Election Post Mortems
Donald J Trump is the President-Elect and the hand-wringing, name calling and demonstrating has begun in earnest.
Last night and today, NBC, MSNBC and Fox News all had black commentators who called the President-Elect a racist.
On MSNBC, Eddie Glaude, Jr., the chair of the Center for African-American Studies and the William S. Tod Professor of Religion and African-American Studies at Princeton University, blamed the election of Trump on 'whitey' saying, white America has just elected "an ill-informed racist who, by any standard, is morally and ethically bankrupt."
A brief analysis of the facts lead to a different conclusion about who elected who.
I saw a report that indicated Trump got about the same number of white votes as Romney got in 2012.
The fact is that Trump made more overtures and appeals to the African-American community than either of the last two Republican candidates combined, so it is likely that Trump got a slightly larger percentage of the African-American vote than Romney got in 2012.
And finally, Glaude and all the other race baiters should remember that many African-Americans who voted for HRH Obama were no-shows this year at the polls.
With all this in mind, the only logical conclusion that one can come to is that the African-American community were responsible for electing Donald J. Trump as America's 45th President.
